Santa Barbara Zoo
We went to visit the Santa Barbara Zoo. It was perfect weather for a day at the Zoo. We headed out Friday around noon and stayed at Holiday Inn. Had dinner at Zodo's a bowling place where it seemed that alot of the people hangout out. The next morning we headed to the zoo and Rj was so anxious about riding the train. All night long and morning he kept hearing the train that was near the Holiday Inn. The first thing we did was ride the train that went around the perimeter of the whole zoo. From the train I got to see the giraffes, and lions-it seemed so unreal. Rj was even able to feed one of the giraffes.
For lunch we met up with some of the Nestie mommies and babies. That was a pretty cool experience...even though it was our first time meeting each other it felt like I've known them forever. Some of them know alot more about me than my own family...what a great group we had.
Rj's 3rd birthday
His party was put in motion all as a last minute. Although I already had the idea of what I wanted ie. theme I didn't really set any of the vendors until literally a day or two before the party. I was so caught up in taking care of Celeste that I had no sense of days and time. I actually thought I had at least 2 more weeks before the party when in reality it was just about a week.
All turned out well-it was a Thomas the tank engine theme-his current favorite. I managed to get a jumper, tables & chairs, a cake, and decorations, food all in just a week. I got lucky. I also got a lot of help from family to put it all together... this year there will be two birthdays.

Welcome!
Its my first posting in this blog. I've heard of blogs before but never really understood and appreciated it until now. Its a great way to keep somewhat of a journal regarding our growing family. To date we have two kids: Rj who is 3 and Celeste who is almost 4 months. Both with their own personalities and seem to be complete opposites in their temperament. One this is for sure life is alot more colorful now-its full of bright colors and I am sure it will be full of interesting adventures for both of us. This blog is one way that our family and friends can share in our moments....welcome :)
